Recognition for Momail mobile email
Momail, the Swedish-based company that offers free a mobile email system for mobile phones, gained a Red Herring 100 Europe award this spring. The award is given to what are considered the top 100 private technology companies based in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Red Herring is a global media company. Momail claims to be the market leader in mobile device support, offering compatibility with more than 1,000 different phone models. Among its 'selling' features, all emails can be collected and read from one inbox on the mobile phone (gmail, yahoo, hotmail+ and so on), and compression techniques are said to reduce the size of attachments up to 99.9 per cent. The service is currently available in the UK, all Nordic countries, Austria, Italy, Germany and Poland. More countries are due to be added this year, beginning with the Benelux.
