Faster, brighter, more capable tablet from Xplore

The latest tablet PC from Xplore Technologies, the iX104C4, is said to offer best-in-class sunlight readable display technology, as well as a 'Dual Mode' flexible user interface, redesigned antennae and new integrated wireless modules.

Spirit Data Capture, UK distributor for the make, is now offering the iX104C4 as part of its range, and says it will prove ideal for organisations needing a mobile tool that field workers can use to view electronic forms, data, videos and schematics.

Features of the new model include a 1.2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, a 120 GB hard disk (with a solid-state disk drive option) and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM (twice the previous amount). The operating system is Windows XP or Vista.

The display is a 10.4in XGA transmissive LCD monitor, which features Xplore's AllVue Xtreme display technology. The company says this is 50 per cent brighter than the previous version.
