Lots of features in Intermec's CK3 handheld
![]() It's not often you are offered a handheld computer that is said to bring together a range of features that have never been available before on a single device, but that's the proposition behind Intermec's new CK3 model, which is designed mainly for warehousing operations. Key features singled out by the company include 1D and 2D barcode scanning under a variety of conditions and at a wide range of distances; 802.11a/b/g wireless networking, with Cisco Compatible Extensions (CCX) certification; voice over Internet (VoIP) support; speech recognition capability; Bluetooth short-range networking; handheld or 'gun' deployment formats; and an RFID reader option. The CK3 range runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and the detail specifications include a fast Intel XScale PXA270 520 MHz processor, 128MB of RAM and 256MB of 'disk-on-chip' flash memory.
