Medion satellite navigation devices or 'PNDs' (personal navigation devices) are to be supplied complete with Navteq digital mapping under a two-year agreement reached by the two companies.

Customers will also be able to buy map and software updates from a new dedicated download portal. Standard one-off map updates will be available, and there will also be a multi-year subscription option.

All new Medion systems will include enhanced visual and audio giving speed limits and detailed lane guidance, with voice activation. Higher-end models will also be equipped with 3D images, elevation data, satellite images and driver alerts.
