Palletline captures signatures with Haultech
![]() Several Palletline members are reported to have started using a new signature capture system developed for the pallet network by transport management systems specialist Haultech. The objective is to enable Palletline members to offer customers a completely traceable 'five-point' delivery service, tracking goods from initial collection through to the final signed confirmation of delivery. The system has been built so that it can be used either in stand-alone mode or as an integrated feature of a larger traffic management system – a shrewd approach where many user-companies are involved, and may have a variety of different IT systems in place. As managing director Kevin Buchanan puts it: 'As a member-run organisation, we feel it is essential to offer a choice when it comes to implementing a network-wide solutions such this.' The system uses Bluebird BIP-5000 handheld terminals (a South Korean brand). HaulTech's signature capture system seamlessly downloads manifest data to the driver's handheld, manages individual jobs and automatically uploads proof of deliver signatures to Palletline's Peracto Hub-System. The new Palletline signature capture project started to go live at the beginning of August.
