Solid state disk, faster processor for Motion
Solid state disk, faster processor for Motion

Motion Computing has upgraded its LE1700 Semi-Rugged tablet PC to improve performance and durability.

An additional version of the Intel Core2 Duo processor has been introduced – the Ultra Low Voltage U7500 – and is said to offer up to a 10 per cent increase in performance over the previous Core Solo processor without any adverse impact on battery life.

Enhanced UltraView and UltraView Anywhere displays provide a brighter, wide viewing angle in an SXGA+ resolution of 1400 x 1050 pixels.

Finally a 64GB solid-state disk drive has been introduced to enhance performance and provide greater durability by protecting the PC better against extreme shock and vibrations. The existing 1.8in hard disk is already said to provide twice the shock protection of the industry-standard 2.5in unit.

* Motion has introduced a new smartcard for its tablet PC range, as well as an EasyConnect USB/Ethernet Module to allow easy connection to other devices or local area networks.
