Destinator now available on Symbian phones
The Destinator satellite navigation system, which was acquired this year by Canadian group Intrynsic, is now available in a software version suitable for Symbian-based smartphones. It can be offered in branded form for specific mobile phone or other companies. Intrynsic says it takes the form of a feature-rich on-board client navigation application, and is designed for 'deep handset integration'. Advanced features include text message location tagging and auto re-routing based on traffic information. The company says Destinator is now offered in a form suitable for all the major operating systems for wireless devices, including Windows, Linux and Symbian.
