Easier wireless networking with Psion Teklogix
Businesses using Psion Teklogix mobile devices out in the field should be able to ensure better and more seamless wireless connectivity following a co-marketing agreement reached by the company with NetMotion Wireless International. NetMotion specialises in mobile VPN (virtual private network) systems. Its flagship product is Mobility XE, which is said to be in use by more than 1,200 organisations. Its systems are designed to enable uses to secure, maintain and optimise wireless connections to applications as their mobile workers move in and out of wireless coverage areas and between networks. Psion says that when the NetMotion Mobility XE client is integrated in devices such as its Workabout Pro or Ik™n, the device is able to provide secure, encrypted and authenticated access to home networks. It will also be able to roam seamlessly between wireless networks without interrupting the user's workflow. 
A further benefit – not necessarily shared with other VPNs, says Netmotion – is that if users become disconnected from their network, they don't have to log in repeatedly through the day. The Mobility XE VPN maintains a logical connection to the network.
