Free data capture repairs for a year

How do you fancy having free repairs on your current electronic data capture devices for a whole year? That's the interesting proposition devised by data capture specialist Ryzex as a way to stimulate the market in the face of the current troubled economic climate.

The service is called i-Refresh, and as you might expect, it's not offered without requiring some commitment from the user. The idea is that during the first year of the programme Ryzex will work with you to plan the roll-out of the right new data capture hardware for your specific business requirements. At the end of that time, you buy new.

However, in the course of that year Ryzex will bear the cost of keeping your legacy equipment going as part of a fully-managed service. So you can defer the outlay on replacement equipment for a full year.

At the end of the year, in comes the new equipment, and Ryzex says it will recycle your redundant hardware in accordance with the WEEE directive – which could potentially mean a further saving for you, in time and hassle at least.

Ryzex claims to operate the UK's largest dedicated barcode scanner repair centre, where it holds a vast inventory of legacy handheld barcode scanner spares. The company says this means it can repair and maintain a wide range of older devices, even if they are no longer supported by the original manufacturer.

All in all, it sounds an appealing package.
