Integrated scheduling and job despatch from DPS
DPS International is the latest routing and scheduling specialist to launch an integrated scheduling and job despatch solution, which it has put together through a link with TomTom WORK, the business planning system from the satnav specialist. DPS says the system allowed scheduling and route planning to be optimised, using the information provided in real time by TomTom WORK. In particular, estimated times of arrival are fed back from the TomTom Navigation device to the DPS scheduling platform, allowing the system to react to changing conditions on the road in real time. TomTom Work provides a range of reports on mileage, vehicle idling, exceptions and detailed journeys, as well as providing a simple tool to despatch jobs directly to the TomTom navigation device.
