Royal Mail rolls out major signature capture project for tracked deliveries
![]() Royal Mail is in the process of rolling out one of the biggest mobile data projects in Europe this year. It will mean the organisation will be able to provide real-time proof of delivery and signature capture on the majority of its tracked products, including Special Delivery and 'Recorded Signed For' services. The project is led by CSC, an IT services company that already manages Royal Mail's desktop computers, servers, mainframes and IT processes. CSC in turn has been working with BlackBay, a specialist in mobile solutions for postal and logistics applications. Intermec is providing no fewer than 25,000 CN3 handheld terminals, and alongside their data capture features, they include integrated CoPilot satellite navigation from ALK. It is the biggest single CoPilot implementation to date. Click here to read more on this story in our extended feature.
