Vista and Google contacts support added to XTNDConnect package
Support for the latest proprietary contact and information management system has been added to XTNDConnect, the PC mobile personal information management from Sybase iAnywhere. In particular, there is new support in version 7.0 for Windows Vista (Contacts, Calendar and Tasks) and Google Calendar. The company says this enhances productivity through easier, faster two-way synchronisation of PIM data between mobile devices and popular PC applications – and all this without requiring the support of IT departments. There are also said to be performance enhancements for Lotus Notes and Microsoft. Sybase says popular demand prompted the company to add these features. 'As Vista adoption continues to grow, so will the demand for device-to-desktop PIM synchronisation,' says Terry Osborn, senior manager in product marketing. Sybase says more than 25 million copies of XTNDConnect PC have been distributed in 17 languages.
