Image capture from Radix
An integrated image-capture peripheral has been launched by Radix International Corporation. Why do you need image capture in logistics? In a sense it's a logical extension of existing image-related technologies. In addition to handling image capture as such, the FW10 is capable of one- and two-dimensional barcode reading, signature capture and optical character recognition. Applications include signature capture for deliveries and receipts, damage recording in quality inspections, and image capture such as vehicle number plates for capturing parking offences - all with the same device. The FWC-10 operates with Radix's existing FW500 handheld terminal, which already includes integral barcode reading and printing, and can be used alongside the FWP-30, thermal printer and PC cards for one-handed operation.
