Mobile staff can consult corporate financial information on the move with a version of Hansa Financials that has been launched for Pocket PC devices. It has been designed as a "true client", says Hansa Business Solutions, rather than as an off-line subset of the full product. It connects users in real time with their corporate database, using a GSM or GPRS connection. This means, says Hansa, that there is no need for synchronisation. Data is updated as soon as changes are made.

The full version of the Hansa suite runs on multiple platforms including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and IBM pSeries, iSeries and zSeries. Client software is available on Windows, Mac OS and Linux platforms.

Interestingly, there is no extra licence cost for the Pocket PC version to existing Hansa Financials users.
