Van rental company offers tracking system on lease
Vehicle rental company First National is offering car and van business users a lease rental plan on NavTrak's latest stolen vehicle tracking device. For £4.44 a week users get a system which includes Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR) to combat cars being taken using the drivers' keys, and extended European cover with Eurowatch. With ADR, the authorised driver carries a small key card. If the vehicle is moved without the key card present, a silent alert is sent to the NavTrak control centre, which immediately pinpoints a vehicle's location and contacts the authorised owner/driver to confirm whether or not the vehicle is moving illegally. One ADR card can be programmed to work across a number of vehicles fitted with NavTrak; or alternatively, more than one ADR card can be programmed for a single NavTrak unit. NavTrak claims its vehicle tracking device is the only one that can be transferred to another vehicle when a vehicle is sold on.
