Portable Bluetooth printer from Seiko
A Bluetooth-equipped wireless portable printer from Seiko is being marketed in Britain by Trident Displays under the branding Trident Infotech. It is aimed at all mobile applications in warehouses, stores and vehicles. The MPU-L465 printer is housed in a robust rubber outer jacket, and is said to be able to withstand drops from 1 metre. It is protected against dust and water ingress to IP32 standard. Despite its modest size, the printer has both RS232 and USB 1.1. serial connectors, plus a Bluetooth 1.1. interface. It can print on both standard thermal paper and labels, and is available with an optional device for peeling labels from the back of foil for immediate use. It has a resolution of 300 dpi (12 dots/mm), and can print on paper between 70mm and 115mm wide. A non-Bluetooth model is available for desktop use, and drivers are available for both Windows XP and Windows CE.Net.
