GoldMine goes mobile
Remote workers can call up GoldMine contact databases from handheld devices with a system launched by FrontRange Solutions. The company has achieved the connectivity by integrating theMOBILIZER middleware from Peramon into its core system. The resultant product, mGoldMine, is said to provide real-time access to its GoldMine Business Contact Manager Corporate Edition from any wireless PDA or mobile phone using WAP or GPRS technology. The company says GoldMine has proved particularly appropriate for this development because it is device- and carrier-agnostic. Remote workers can access a variety of GoldMine features. For instance, they can find contacts by name, company or location, add and edit details, list scheduled activities or schedule new ones, and view data on past activities. The mGoldMine application costs just £199 at list price, while version 6.0 of the GoldMine corporate application itself is priced at £395.
