Gotive adds wireless LAN to handheld
Handheld terminal manufacturer Gotive has added the option of 802.11b wireless local-area network capability to its H42 unit. The company says this means it can now incorporate wireless LAN, GSM/GPRS radio, GPS positioning and barcode reading in a single unit. The 802.11 feature is supplied in the form of an internal CompactFlash card, so there is no projecting antenna. The company says the new feature has been added in response to customer demand.
