Cash in transit company fits Masternaut tracking

Contract Security Services, a specialist cash transfer company, has starting using the Internet-based vehicle tracking service from Masternaut to track its 25-strong van fleet.

The company has been tracking vehicles for the past three years, but wanted to introduce the latest technology in a drive to enhance customer service. According to customer service manager James Britton, service "has been excellent, and so much better than that provided with our old system."

He says other features of the Masternaut package that appealed include reliability, accessible 24-hour service and affordability.

The company specialises in work such as collections from parking meters, vending machines, schools and other public buildings. Masternaut's continuous vehicle tracking now forms part of a broader security system aimed at protecting both staff and cash in transit.

Masternaut equips vehicles with an intelligent mobile collection unit (MCU) that allows connection to any on-board electronic devices. This means it can monitor alarms, door sensors and tachographs, as well as offering in-cab routing, navigation and job despatch capabilities.
