How Novar integrated scheduled service work with emergencies
Novar Services, a UK-based specialist in maintenance, service and refurbishment, has introduced a mobile workforce optimisation system from ServicePower to manage the work of 230 field technicians. Initially the project is costing £400,000. The technicians install, repair, and maintain fire and safety systems for commercial buildings. The system is intended to help Novar integrate the allocation of fast-response, emergency repair jobs with planned maintenance work. One of the key selection criterion laid down by Novar Services was that the supplier should be able to integrate with the company's European SAP strategy. ServicePower is meeting this requirements by supplying its SAP Connector module. Later the system is expected to be rolled out throughout Novar's European operations. Novar operates under various brand names including Bardic Services, Gent Services and Trend Services. ServicePower supplies its solutions throughout Europe, and says it has so far sold licenses covering over 28,000 service technicians. Customers include Avaya Communication, BskyB, GE, Ecolab and Siemens.
