Mobile programming without wireless expertise
Organisations managing their corporate communications with Lotus Notes or Domino have a new way of extending their functionality to the mobile world. What is described as an exceptionally easy-to-use mobile development kit for Notes users has been launched by SolutionPlanet. According to the company, developers need no knowledge at all of WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) or WML (Wireless Markup Language) to create an optimised and solid wireless interface. It says the solutions developed with nsf-on-air are flexible, will provide a content that is just as dynamic as the data it accesses, and are independent of wireless device and server platform. The development is completely forms-driven, and it says this means build time can be cut "dramatically". SolutionPlanet's nsf-on-air Mobile Development Kit costs £600, and is available for trial download from the company's Web site.
