Two leaders in mobile solutions, Sidewinder Europe and Prolog Systems, have formed a strategic alliance to offer a range of service optimisation solutions.

Prolog is already well established in the service management market. Under the deal, the company will incorporate elements of Sidewinder's real-time resource scheduling functionality into its solutions.

Sidewinder says its core expertise will remain in complex real-time scheduling of resources such as people and equipment.

"The two systems used together form an unbeatable combination," according to Mike Rand, sales director at Prolog.
