Tracking and field service collaboration
Collaboration is in the air on the telematics and field service front this month. Mobile enterprise specialist B2M Solutions, for instance, has entered an alliance partnership with NetMotion Wireless, allowing the two companies to work together on software development to provide customers with secure, stable, fully-managed mobile enterprise systems. Satnav leader TomTom Work and asset tracking specialist OxLoc are working together to provide information about the location and condition of remote equipment to service and maintenance people on the road. Oxloc’s Asset Alert tracks the equipment, and the information is sent to Webfleet, TomTom’s real time vehicle management application.
