docdata acquires stake in online retailer

As predicted in the last Fulfilment & e.logistics, fulfilment house docdata has broadened its horizons by taking a share in an online retail business. It is Anything Left-Handed, which has been around for 40 years, and claims to have established itself more recently as the world’s most successful online retailer in its market.

The size of the docdata stake has not been revealed, but it is described as a “minority share”. However, docdata also gains by taking on the company’s fulfilment work. Anything Left-Handed directors Keith and Lauren Milsom say this will allow them to focus on developing the ALH online business and continuing to expand.

The UK wing of docata was previously called Braywood, and was acquired by its new parent over a year ago.
