Simplified driver data transfer as Dynafleet gets greener
Tighter integration of tachograph management and telematics is seen in a new version of the Dynafleet Online system from Volvo. Drivers can transfer their personal operational information from the tachograph to their company office simply by taking the driver card out of the tachograph and inserting it into a special card reader is linked to the truck’s Dynafleet unit. Underlining its “green” credentials, the new version of Dynafleet also provides detailed reports on every truck’s and driver’s fuel consumption in various driving conditions. Among new features, it is now possible to see how much AdBlue has been used in the exhaust treatment process, as well as the number of starts and stops, the average speed and how heavily loaded the vehicle was during various phases of each shift. The web-based version of the system, Dynafleet Online, is said to have about 10,500 users.
