Pay-as-you-go mobile service management
Service Centre, the browser-based service management system from Tesseract, is now available on a pay-as-you-go basis; so organisations can use it to offer an interactive communication capability to mobile workers without up-front investment. The latest version of the system, Service Centre 4.2, is said to accommodate every type of mobile communications medium via laptops, PDAs and Nokia devices, as well as WAP phones and the Acer tablet PC range. In the new hosted version, users log and manage service calls with a unique URL, which gives them secure access to their own Service Centre database. Likewise, the company's field engineers and/or customers can also log on to the system via password-protected URLs. The system handles a range of activities, including customer asset management; call management; multi-location parts stock control repair management; and quote management.
The hosting service is being provided for Tesseract by managed service specialist ENG.
