Another wireless portable printer from Toshiba TEC

Toshiba TEC has introduced a new wireless printing package with the latest model in its 4in portable range. The B-415 GH25 can communicate with its host via Bluetooth and infra-red. It is aimed at a variety of markets including shelf-edge labelling, doorstep delivery receipts and tracking of parcels in warehouses.

The new model uses an ultra-light lithium ion battery which is said to allow at least 400 65mm high labels to be printed on a single charge. Its 203dpi thermal head has an expected life of at least 25 kilometres. The weight is only 800g including battery, and an optional carry case incorporating shoulder strap is available.

  • Our apologies to Toshiba TEC for a couple of glitches that crept into our coverage of the wireless version of the company's 2in portable printer in our last issue. The name of that printer is the B-SP2D, not as stated, and to compound our error, we inadvertently duplicated the name of the previous model (the B-211). We regret any confusion or misunderstanding arising.
