Scaleable "enterprise-strength" voice management system
Vocollect, the specialist in what is termed voice-directed distribution, has launched a new enterprise-strength voice management tool, VoiceManager. It uses a platform-independent Web services architecture, and should therefore be easy to integrate with modern supply-chain applications. It is also scalable, allowing it to run either on a centralised server or in each field location where it is required (or both in combination). VoiceManager comes with built-in "distribution dialogs" for the company's Talkman mobile hardware, including order selection, receiving, put-away, replenishment and other personalised configurations for each user of the company's Talkman mobile hardware. It is said to support all major operating systems, to integrate with JDBC-compliant databases and to support the major web application server platforms.
