Intermecs printer can help with asset tracking
This attractive new printer from Intermec isn't mobile (in fact it's described as a desktop model), but we thought you should know about it anyway, as it is said to be particularly effective in applications such as asset tracking and inventory management. It's certainly good for operations involving wireless computing in a warehouse environment. The PD4 has a print width of 104 mm and print speed of 150 mm per second, and comes with 2MB Flash memory as standard (this can be extended). There are also 2MB of DRAM memory. Other options include a cutter, a self-strip feature, internal rewind, keyboard display unit and EasyLAN Ethernet networking. There are three standard interface options, a choice of 200 or 300 dpi print resolution and extensive font support. The machine is said to be is easy to set up and configure, and has a range of serial, parallel and USB interfaces as standard. The model is offered exclusively through Intermec's channel partners and distributors.
