If you need to inspect and monitor vehicles at the roadside or in the field, and perhaps check on their details in real time, you might be interested in a new software package for handheld computers called FD Inspect. It comes from FDTEK, a specialist in the mobile market.

FD Inspect is said to work on with most PDAs running Windows CE. The company says it is particularly useful for organisations such as local authorities or vehicle rental firms for monitoring vehicles operating from a number of different sites. It allows for real-time external links to be provided where necessary by Bluetooth or mobile phone connection.
