You might not think of Multimap, the online mapping specialist, as a supplier of tracking systems in its own right, but it does provide the online mapping for other such suppliers, and has a product range that it describes as vehicle tracking services.

Now it has enhanced these with two new hosted vehicle tracking options. One of them, Multi-Vehicle Tracking, enables fleet managers to view the location of their entire fleet at a glance, and to track the movement of a mobile asset over the previous 24 hours or longer.

The other new service, Reverse Geo-Coding, allows users to receive textual information on the location of vehicles, and works across many platforms.

Sagge, a French telematics specialist, is the first to take advantage of these new services.
