Wireless Bluetooth adapters
A range of Bluetooth wireless adapters for both fixed and portable computers has been launched by Socket Communications. The USB version, the Socket USB Adapter, is for conventional desktop or laptop PCs, and is said to have a range of up to 100 metres. For connecting with mobile phones, there is a PC card version, the Socket CF Connection Kit, which is said to be the only card on the market with an integrated antenna which (along with the PC card itself) fits flush within the device. Finally, for connecting Pocket PC devices with mobile phones, there is the Socket SDIO Connection Kit. 
Socket already offers a range of Bluetooth-enabled devices including a cordless hand scanner, a cordless 56K modem and a GPS navigation kit. The USB version is priced at $59 or equivalent.
