Baracoda updates Bluetooth middleware
Baracoda, the barcode reader specialist, has released an upgrade to its Bluetooth-based middleware package, which is intended to link the company's readers to professional software application. The new version, BaracodaManager 3, has been ported to Microsoft's .NET and .NET Compact Framework platforms in order to achieve easier integration with mobile applications. The company says it is easier to provide integration of Baracoda DLLs (dynamic link library files) on the .NET platform than with C++, as used before. The software also offers improved buffer-memory management for 2604 series scanners with integrated memory, and introduces the ability to manage multiple scanners via simultaneous connection to a single host terminal. There is a "status" reception function for bar codes read with the scanner.
