More countries, more roads with TomTom
Users of the latest TomTom satellite navigation systems can enter full six/seven-digit UK postcodes to define their destinations, as well as six-figure Dutch postcodes. This is one of the advances introduced with the latest Tele Atlas street mapping to be used in the system. Two new countries, Poland and the Czech Republic, have also been incorporated into the TomTom European navigation atlas, and the company has added 78,500 km of new roads and 128,330 new points of interest. For US users, a road network map covering the whole country has now been introduced. This is held on a single 1GB memory card. The new features are available on various TomTom models, including the TomTom GO range, the TomTom MOBILE 5 for advanced mobile phones, TomTom RIDER for motorcycles and scooters, and TomTom Navigator 5 for PDAs.
