Cobham recruits Fox for tracking push
Cobham Systems, a company previously known best for software in the construction, waste and quarry management fields, is expanding into telematics and vehicle tracking. It has launched a fixed-cost GPS-based tracking solution called Fleeteye, and has appointed a new UK sales manager to market it alongside existing products. The new man is Barrie Fox, who is no stranger to telematics world, having worked in the past with Wire3 Technologies. He says Cobham will be able to promote Fleeteye alongside its existing flagship software product, Weighsoft, to offer turnkey solutions to operators. Fleeteye is a fixed-cost Web-based tracking solution, backed up by a range of ancillary solutions such as a Working Time Directive monitoring system integrated with the Navman on-board mobile data terminal.
