Bluetooth scanner from Symbol
Symbol has launched a range of Bluetooth-based wireless rugged laser scanners for industrial environments. The LS3478 ER and the LS34778 FZ are said to be able to withstand multiple drops on to concrete from 2 metres, and the long-range LS3478 ER version can read barcodes as close as 100 mm and as far as 14 metres away. Both models have IP65 environmental rating. The company says typical applications would include asset tracking, fork-lift truck operations and inventory management.
