Beam your content to your printer
Users of BlackBerry mobile email devices from RIM can now take advantage of the Content Beamer service from ThinPrint, which allows them to print documents wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled printers. If the document is actually resident in the BlackBerry (an email, for instance), it can be printed directly from the device. If it is embodied in an attachment, the Content Beamer server delivers it to the printer in a compressed data stream that is said to save the time that would have been involved in downloading it. There is also support for network printing. The system is said to support standard printer languages such as PCL, PostScript and PDF. Content Beamer is already available for Symbian-based smartphones, and in a corporate version that includes both viewing and printing documents.
