Versatile portable receipt printer from Paxar
A new portable receipt printer offering good integration capabilities with typical mobile operating systems has been launched by Paxar. It produces 3in receipts. As standard, the 9430RX uses IrDA (infra-red) to communicate with its host, but it can also be equipped with Bluetooth for more versatile wireless communication. As a further communication option, it is fitted as standard with an RS232 serial port. The printer has been designed to integrate readily with a variety of mobile computer operating systems, including Windows, Windows CE, Pocket PC, EPOC and Palm. Despite its small size, the unit can also be equipped with an internal magnetic card reader and an internal smartcard reader.
It is supplied with a belt clip for ease of operation, and has a bespoke internal fast battery charger, which means batteries can be recharged whilst remaining in the printer.
