Irish streets from Navteq

Navteq vector street-level digital map data for Northern Ireland is now available with the same amount of detail as comparable mapping for Great Britain. Altogether it covers 15,872 miles of roads and includes 2,150 points of interest in 40 categories. The most detailed versions of the data also include data on one-way streets, banned turns, limited-access junctions and other barriers.

The new data is available to users and developers through Navteq's key suppliers, including MapMechanics, which is also offering the rasterised version produced by Andes, which has brought forward its next release to coincide with the launch.

Street-level data for the Republic of Ireland is promised in the near future.
