Hand Held scanners gain latest image enhancement system
The latest Adaptus imaging technology is being integrated into Hand Held Products' portfolio of free-standing handheld barcode scanners. The IT4600, IT4800 and IT4620 ranges are all gaining Adaptus enablement. Adaptus is a technology developed by Hand Held Products, but also used by other auto-identification manufacturers. It is said to offer increased reading range with linear and two-dimensional barcodes, better motion tolerance, improved low-light reading, raster read rates and better image resolution. Despite the addition of Imaging Technology version 5.0, the price of the affected scanners is unchanged.
