Wireless stockroom and inventory management
New modules for wirelessly managing stock via handheld terminals have been added to the IntelliTrack PC-based software range from GSM Printer & Label Systems, a tracking and data capture systems specialist. There is a Stockroom module for tracking of supplies and consumable inventories; a Check In/Out module for management of returnable inventories; and an Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Picking module for controlling small to mid-sized warehouse operations. The new modules integrate with the company's inventory tracking system, which combine barcode data collection on portable data terminals with Windows-based inventory management. Other functions include fixed asset management. GSM, which is based in Maryland, says more than 12,000 copies of IntelliTrack have been sold worldwide, involving 100,000 individual users. In Europe it sells through French-based PixiSoft.
