Roadrunner RTD, the online working time analysis tool from Road Tech Computer Systems, now handles standard drivers' hours law compliance as well as the requirements of the Road Transport Directive.

The company is presenting it essentially as a tachograph analysis tool for the new era, taking advantage of the driver data that will be available from digital tachographs as they become more common. Users will be encouraged to acquire a digital tachograph driver card reader (costing only around £40), and can use this to scan card data, ready for upload to the Road Tech web site.

Reports of driver performance are then generated automatically. The cost of the service has been pegged at its existing level - £1 per a week per driver.
