Distributors gain stronger role with Hand Held Products
Hand Held Products has changed the way it distributes its products in the UK, putting more emphasis on its distributor network. It says it wants to develop firm relationships with the distributors by providing them with extra revenues - but without any detrimental effect on its existing "partner" network. Most of its existing partners, who may in the past have dealt directly with Hand Held Products, will therefore in future be supplied by distributors. They will be called "Business Partners" from now on. However, a few partners are being promoted to the rank of "Business Solution Partner", and will still deal directly with he company. These are businesses that are considered champions in their particular vertical markets. Hand Held says it wants to encourage other business partners to achieve this status. The company says everyone should gain from what it calls "a dramatic new approach" to sales and distribution.
The UK company is based in Cheshire, while the European headquarters are in Eindhoven, Holland.
