Support for the latest version 5.0 of the Windows Mobile operating system has been added to the XTNDConnect PC mobile device-to-desktop synchronisation software from iAnywhere. The new version also supports Sony Ericsson phones including the W800i Walkman phone and K750i device.

XTNDConnect PC 5.4 supports related Windows platforms including Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition and Windows Smartphone. Most Palm, Sony Ericsson and NEC phone models are also said to be supported.

The software allows users to synchronise contacts, email and so on between mobile devices and popular PC applications such as ACT!, Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.

XTNDConnect was developed by Extended Systems, which iAnywhere parent Sybase acquired last autumn.
