TDC mobilises Danish field staff with Taskforce
TDC, the Danish-based communications giant, is rolling out a mobile workforce management solution built round the Taskforce 7 application from Britain's @Road (formerly Vidus). It will be used to optimise the service delivery capability of 1,900 field engineers in Denmark. TDC conducted a wide-ranging evaluation of competing products before settling on the Taskforce solution. According to Maarten van Engeland, vice-president of Installations at group subsidiary TDC Solutions: "Taskforce came out on top." He adds: "Taskforce clearly demonstrated the capabilities we were looking for in a Field Service Management solution, which was coupled with Vidus' strong understanding of our business." TDC has a major presence in several European countries - notably Denmark and Switzerland. Taskforce is designed for automated handling of complex service delivery needs and requirements in an unpredictable field service environment, and is used by various large clients including BT, Centrica/British Gas, E.ON Hungary and NTL.
