@Road Ltd is the new name adopted by Vidus, the mobile resource management specialist based in Ipswich. Vidus was acquired by California-based @Road last year, and will now be identified more closely with its parent, although its Ipswich office and team are to be retained as a base for the group's European expansion.

Vidus was spun out of BT Brightstar in 2003, and was originally called a.p.solve. It tended to focus on relatively large-scale mobile workforce implementations, whereas @Road's solutions have a broader sweep (and much larger customer base). The two organisations' product ranges have now been integrated to extend their appeal on both sides of the Atlantic.
