Infringement filter added to tach analysis system
An "infringement debrief" module has been introduced in the TruControl tachograph analysis service provided by TruTac, one of the emerging services that can process both analogue and digital records. The company says it can merge together the two kinds of analysis within 48 hours. The debriefing process is designed to help managers track and audit bad practices of consistently offending drivers, as well as recording praise for good performance. Its exception reporting feature alerts managers when certain user-defined threshold levels are exceeded. The disciplinary process is customer-configurable, and includes the option to set actions for each stage within a sequence of stages. The number of stages can vary. The default sequence has seven levels ranging from no action to dismissal. Coventry-based TruTac was founded in 1994, and claims to be the only company in the world able to flat-scan and analyse very large numbers of tachograph charts. It says it currently processes over 120,000 per week.
