NetMotion VPN certified for Windows Smartphones
Not all mobile applications developers want to use email or the Internet as their communications medium; some require the added security, robustness and control of a VPN (virtual private network). Those wanting to set up such a system using Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system now have a new solution in the form of NetMotion Wireless International's Mobility XE, which has gained certification under Microsoft's Mobile2Market programme. It is said to be the only VPN so far certified as a "Designed for Windows Mobile" solution for Windows Mobile 5.5.0 Smartphone. The Mobility XE Mobile VPN aims to keep enterprise workers securely connected to critical data and applications, even when they roam in and out of coverage areas or from network to network. The company says it turns a multi-network environment into a single unified network, maintaining application sessions so mobile workers can work without disruption.
