TrakM8 is number one in ABIs telematics rankings
TrakM8, a UK-based specialist in telematics and tracking systems, comes out number one in a "top eight" listing of European aftermarket telematics vendors produced by ABI Research. The top eight listing in ABI's European Aftermarket Telematics Vendor Matrix is dominated by UK or international suppliers, and includes Tracker Network at number three, Trafficmaster Smartnav at four and ITIS Navtrak at six. Second place goes to Malaysian company, CobraConnex, which specialises in car tracking, immobilisation and recovery, and is represented in Britain and Ireland by Vestatec (UK). Siemens VDO Automotive is at five and Thales Telematics is at seven, while French-based Fleet Technology Volsatt comes in at number eight. ABI evaluates companies according to "innovation" and "implementation" against various criteria such as customer wins, contract awards, global reach, market share, patents, R&D spending, time to market and being "first movers".
