High-contrast in-cab screen
Excellent visibility even in daylight glare - that's the promise behind a new flat touch-screen monitor for in-vehicle use from US-based Planar. The LX1200 is marketed in Britain by Trident. The 12in LCD screen's transflective technology is said to ensure wide viewing angles, sunlight readability and extraordinary contrast in all lighting conditions. It can be operated with gloved fingers (no stylus required), and has integrated stereo speakers. It comes in a lightweight magnesium casing that is said to guarantee that it won't be affected by interference from sources such as radio transmitters and power lines.
